Hello, and welcome to my Film Student Portfolio. As a passionate student of Film.
Telling stories through pictures is my passion, filmmaking & Cinematography run through my bloodstream, Cinema is the art that I call complete art that involves music, writing, drama, and photography altogether, everyone has a story to be told, the universe is infinite so are ideas, and cinema is the search that human beings need, the search for life, for love, for the world around them, and for the drama that afflicts them, I will do everything to conquer my dreams. I want to make art!
BIO
Lucas Duarte
Lucas Duarte, a talented student filmmaker, and emerging cinematographer, hails from the vibrant land of Brazil but has found his creative haven in the beautiful city of Miami Beach, Florida. At the age of 20, Lucas possesses a burning passion for capturing his stories on motion picture film, particularly Super 8mm, and 16mm Kodak celluloid. His unique blend of experimental cinema and documentary-style filmmaking has garnered attention and admiration within the independent film community.
curious and innovative film student and I am currently working on some fascinating projects by myself, as an independent filmmaker. My dream is to learn what I love to do, making Films or Documentaries, as a Cinematographer or Director.

SAD DAYS
Suspense - Short Film - 2020
Synopsis: Amid so many controversies in the world, a man decided to change his life and ends up losing it!
Making of: We made the film in three days during the summer of 2020, the weather collaborated with us it helped us to get the rainy mood of the film.
My Role: my role in this short is basically everything as a Producer, Director, Writer, Cinematographer, and editor.
The film was shot with a DSLR Camera (Nikon D52000 with the kit lens 18-55 mm f3.5) - Edited in Final Cut Pro X

Romantic Experimental Film - 2021
Synopsis: Jane (Perla Hedman) and Mike (Pedro Rodrigues)
are a young couple with their memories full of love, love that never ends...
Making of: During the production of the film, we had a lot of difficulties due to the weather, we filmed in August and September of 2020, and we released it in 2021.
My Role: As the only filmmaker available, I also was the Director, Producer, Writer, Cinematographer, and Editor of the film. The film was shot in a DSLR== Camera (Nikon D5200 with the Rokinon Cine DS 35mm T1.5 with the Tiffen Black Pro mist Filter) - Edited in Final Cut Pro X

Short Narrative (Drama) 2022
Synopsis: After the loss of a loved one, Robby (Pedro Rodrigues) decided to travel to a faraway place to try to forget about his problems, but he ends up realizing how important it is to value life and the people around him.
Making Of: I took so long to make this project come true over 1 year and a half, I dedicated myself to it, I filmed the project in Miami Beach, FL, and also rented a cabin in Hellenwood, TN to shoot the project.
My Role: my role in this film was, Director, Producer, Writer, Cinematographer, and Editor. I shot the film with my own Cinema Camera the ZCAM E2 M4 with the Mitakon Zhongyi Speedmaster 25mm T1.0 Japanese lens and Vintage Chinese Fujian 35mm f1,7 + Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 1/2 Filter & Variable ND Filter, Audio I used my Rode Shotgun Mic NTG-2 - Edited in Final Cut Pro X
I recently submitted the film to Film Festival (For Consideration), This is a passion project that really helps to inspire and motivate us, how to understand how life works, a film that gives us a message about Love, values, time, and of course life.
